The SWOT analysis is so-called because of the acronym of the 4 factors required for assessing the organizations internal (Strengths and Weaknesses) and external (Opportunities and Threats) environments. The PESTEL analysis considers six environmental factors that affect the enterprise and i ts business Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal.
